Cropping pictures at strange angles

I have a page I would like to design that would involve the cropping of pictures other than at 90 degree angles. Can Fireworks crop picture at angles other than 90 degrees?

Some very wise people in this NG suggested to me a while back that I
would be better off using a mask to accomplish this rather than the
destructive method of cropping.

Believe me when I say that there were many times when I wished I had
used a mask previously, because through errors, I managed to destroy the
original digital photograph.
