Cross compiling with visual age
Hi, is it possible to compile applications and kernel modules on AIX 4.3
that will run correctly on AIX 5.1??
I think that application-wise there shouldn't be any problem as IBM supports
binary compatibility as versions advance, but
what about kernel modules, is it possible to compile on an AIX 4.3 machine??
We already have a machine used only for builds, and it seems wasteful to
dedicate another machine just for this because
we comiled for another version.
ERAN.
