cross platform enhance cd
Using Director MX 2004 (windows) what is the best way to take the file created
(projector) and have it burned onto a cd that would be used on both Mac OS
(multiple versions) and Windows.
I am only using a Windows machine and no access to Mac, but would like the
final product to be autorun on both.
Thanks

Re: cross platform enhance cd
Director MX 2K4 will only create Windows and Mac OS X projectors. If you
need to create a classic projector then you would need to get the Mac
version of 2K4. Also, you really need to have access to a Mac if you want
to make cross platform projects...you must test your product and it's much
easier to trouble shoot problems in authoring mode on the delivery platform.
You can search the technotes, there are a couple on cross platform
authoring. Also search the NG archives at:

Re: cross platform enhance cd
I'm currently dealing with the same issue with a Mac/PC/Audio enhanced CD, only
we are gearing it for OS X, not worrying about the classic OS. We can get the
audio tracks and the PC version to work properly, but as for getting the Mac
projector to autorun, we're hitting a road block. I'm new to Director MX 2004,
so I'm still familiarizing myself with how the mac projector creation works.
Before we used to make images using CDEverywhere software which could have an
autostart file specified. Can this MX 2004 projector be made to autorun on an
OS X Mac as we were able to do with classic?

Re: cross platform enhance cd
Mac OS X does not allow autorun for security reasons.

Re: cross platform enhance cd
Alright, in that case what is the proper way to prepare a Mac projector to make
a cross platform disc using MX 2004 for OS X; i.e. how do we handle xtras if on
the PC end they are treated as not being included in the projector. Any help
would be great. Again, the end result is to be a Mac/PC/Audio enhanced CD.
Thanks!
