Re: CS "constrain" and "duplicate" keys... don't!
In pre-CS versions of Illustrator it was possible to duplicate and offset an object by option/shift/arrow key. Does this keyboard shortcut still exist in this version of Illustrator?

It's got to be system related. Any 3rd party haxies or other items? Did you repair disk permissions befor eand after the install?

Re: CS "constrain" and "duplicate" keys... don't!
Bill - yes, it does; I just checked.
Scott - No, and no.
It was a "clean" install on a new G5 just upgraded to 10.3.3 & ILCS just stopped working properly. None of the other 7 identical G5's experienced problems & a simple ILCS re-install cleared up the anomaly. Been working fine ever since.

Re: CS "constrain" and "duplicate" keys... don't!
This is happening on one of the 3 G4s in my office. A re-install did not work.
Any other suggestions
Thanks

Re: CS "constrain" and "duplicate" keys... don't!
We also have the same problem on one machine (out of 9). This machine has just undergone a complete (erase, write zeros to disk, OS, apps) reinstall 2 days ago. We tried a new keyboard but that wasn't it.
However, we opened a file created in IL-8 and both functions worked. Then we went back to a file created in IL-CS and the functions were now working.
Go figure.
Hope this helps and any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: CS "constrain" and "duplicate" keys... don't!
Try unplugging your keyboard and plugging it back in. I fixed my problem after I played around and plugged in another keyboard into my USB hub.
Seems to work fine again.

Re: CS "constrain" and "duplicate" keys... don't!
Matt, I tried that too - another identical keyboard, that I knew to work just fine (it was off MY G5!) and got exactly nowhere.
I'd be suspicious of running keyboard and/or mouse signals thru a hub, though I do use the built-in ports on my 20" Studio LCD & the other folks use the same hardware.
