CS: relinking multiple files
I have to relink several files to a new folder. Is there any way to get ID to behave like QuarkXPress and see all the missing files are in one folder? I'm going nuts constantly navigating to the same folder and selectign the files one at a time.

Re: CS: relinking multiple files
Did you shift or control click all the desired links and then try to relink the first one on the list?

Re: CS: relinking multiple files
I did not click on any links. The relinking was initiated when I opened the file.

Re: CS: relinking multiple files
Same thing happened to me. To get around this, open the links window and DON'T select anything. Use the arrow at the top of the palette and in the flyout, choose re-link and go to the folder. DON'T use the button at the bottom.
It will then update everything if found in that folder. But, in my case, it also then says that all of those links have changed and have to be updated. So then do the same with the flyout, not the button on the bottom. I'm upgrading a ton of docs from PM 6 and when the updates are complete, I have to go to the graphics and do CTRL-ALT-E to refit to the frame. I'm not sure if that's a conversion issue or what.

Re: CS: relinking multiple files
I have found updating pictures of legacy PM files after converting to InDesign troublesome due to the scaling. (Thank God haven't encountered any for a while) But relinking has never been a problem provided they are in the same folder. Use the method described above.
