CS2 Export as EPS creates larger files than InDesign 2.02 - Adobe Indesign Windows

If I create a page in the same manner with the same image content in InDesign 2.02, the EPS File created is significantly smaller than InDesign CS2. For example, the same page in InDesign 2.02 will export as 17 mb, whereas in CS2, it exports as 87 mb. I have married up the same settings that I use for Export As EPS for both Applications as follows: Postscript: level 3 Color: CMYK Preview: TIFF Embed Fonts: Complete Format: Binary Send All Image Data The image content are all Photoshop EPS files. Default CS2 Export as EPS creates larger files than InDesign 2.02

If I create a page in the same manner with the same image content in InDesign 2.02, the EPS File created is significantly smaller than InDesign CS2.
For example, the same page in InDesign 2.02 will export as 17 mb, whereas in CS2, it exports as 87 mb.

I have married up the same settings that I use for Export As EPS for both Applications as follows:

    Postscript: level 3
    Color: CMYK
    Preview: TIFF
    Embed Fonts: Complete
    Format: Binary
    Send All Image Data

The image content are all Photoshop EPS files.
I am using CS2 with all of the current patches.

Any ideas as to why/what I could look at.

Are you using the same fonts?

But maybe you can avoid this altogether...Why the EPS route including
the Photoshop EPS files? With an up to date printer, all of this should
be unnecessary. Photoshop files can be saved as PSD or PDF and the ID
file can be exported to PDF.

Yes, ideally that is what I would want to do ( export to Pdf); however, several processes I have in place require that I use the Export EPS. I am having these processes revamped to deal with PDF direct; but until that time I need to deal with the current.

    Thanks for the help.

Yes, the fonts are the same as well.
