    Default CS2 InDesign 4.03

General info, running CS2 4.03 on G5 Mac under 10.4.7 with 1.25GB RAM
Since updating InDesign to 4.03 today, I have noticed a problem with PDF creation.
Basically I have been creating designs within InDesign, exporting them as a PDF, opening the PDF in Photoshop CS2 and then saving the file as jpegs. That is until today and version 4.03. There does not appear to be any way I can create a jpeg from the PDF that this version of InDesign produces. No matter what preset I use to create the PDF from InDesign the result is always the same, the PDF opens in Photoshop when when I attempt to save as a jpeg I get a 'could not complete your request because of a program error'. The file will save as a tiff, but any attempt to convert that tiff will cause the same result. The only solution so far seems to be to save as a postscript file and then Distill it, then all works as it should and I can make a jpeg from the resulting PDF. I have altered settings but all to no avail. Puzzled I am!

Jack, can you export from a document that contains no fonts, and see if you can open that in Photoshop? I suspect font encoding based on the fact you can open the distilled PDF.

Hi Jeffrey, thanks for reply. You may be on to something here. I exported the same InDesign file to PDF but removed the type and left the graphics. This time the PDF converted to jpeg without error. I may have a corrupt font buried in there, but at least I know where to start looking.
    Many thanks
