CS2 rotated PSD bug?

It looks like there might be a bug in the CS2 suite involving placed PSDs (in Illy or ID) and generating PDFs.

To reproduce the problem, take a small 300ppi PSD and place it in IDCS2.

Scale it to 40%.

Copy it and rotate the copy 180 degrees.

Now export to PDF using High Quality preset or any preset that will, by virtue of the placed PSD's effective resolution of 750ppi, resample to 300ppi.

Place the newly created PDF in Illustrator with link unchecked to bring in the rasters that were embedded in the PDF portion of the file.

Bring up document info, and set it to embedded images, and select all.

Notice that the unrotated raster is roughly 300ppi (given or take a small fraction) while the rotated version has a severe pixel aspect ratio, with an approximate resolution of 501ppi in the width, and 180ppi in the height.

I'm not sure if it is a factor, but the PSD I tested with was CMYK and had transparency.

I can verify this. It only seems to happen at 180° though (I tried with 15° steps).

This sounds very much like the crop and rotate and down sample bug in Photoshop.
