Default CSS embedded floats

Howdy, I have a client (using the term loosely) that wants a look and feel
that requires I embed an img float: left div inside an img float:right. The
raised "S" gif is supposed to float left inside it's own DIV forming the first
letter of 'Service', yet it floats right as though overridden by the outer div.
For this prototype page, the CSS is embedded in the page header. Is my markup
wrong, or can I not do what I want to do?

I don't get it - I only see one instance of "Service" on that page - or have
you changed something?

Thanks for looking, Murray, but you must have been on vacation. We're up to
iteration 5 of the site design and the S works now ... I'm not going to ask.
But, if you want to see the current version it's
http://savethefirstdanceforyou.com/newIndex5.htm My biggest problem is a
client who is trying to translate paper marketing materials to a web site ...
and she ain't listening.
