    Default Custom Color Swatch Libraries???

I know how to import custom color swatches from one document to another but what I can't find is how to CREATE a custom stand-alone swatch library that can be imported into any new document. It must be possible, I just can't find any reference to it.

    Thank you for any help.

I don't think you can do as you wish, but an alternative would be to make a
dummy InDesign document and create your custom colours in that, then when
you start a new document go to the Swatches pallette and load the colours
    from your dummy document.

what I can't find is how to CREATE a custom stand-alone swatch library
that can be imported into any new document.

    It's simple.

Create an InDesign document with the custom colors you want.

Save it into the InDesign Folder> Presets Folder> Swatch Libraries Folder.

The custom swatch library will be listed along with the Pantone, Trumatch, and other swatch libraries.

You can then import whichever colors you want.

Additionally, if you use these colors on all of your new docs, just add
them to the palette with no file open and they will then be the default
    for all new docs.

Sandee, thanks for the tip. I have been creating them in Illustrator saving them to v8 then using them in Indesign. I didn't know I could create them directly in Indesign and save time.
