We have a local machine with fixed local IP. Our firewall is configured
to direct web requests to this local machine.

We are using instant web publishing with a custom home page. What we
have found is that the links to the FM databases do not work. This
seems to be because they are hard coded with the local IP address. If
we replace the local IP address with the global IP address it worked.
However in this case the local LAN can no longer get access.

Is there a way to set up the buttons on the custom page such that the
IP address need not be hard coded? or is there some other method I am
missing?
