Custom Page Size, Cut Off Image

Illustrator 10 frequently cuts off my image when I have set up a large custom size. As far as I can tell, I have found all the settings, including the confusingly obscure 'save' button for custom sizes.

Is there another secret handshake I need to know?

Oh, BTW, I do NOT have this problem with OS 9.

Could it be the printer driver? (Canon S9000)... Called Canon on this long ago and they, of course, put the blame on the OS.

I'm going through this right now with PS CS on OS X.3.2 and it's driving me nuts. I'm trying to print a poster at 24 x 36 on 24" paper, I even scale it down 98% to 23 x 35 and it's still cutting off the left edge of my artwork. I have bleed capabilities on my printer and haven't been able to use bleeds outside of InDesign (creates margins for me in PS and ILL). I'm using an HP 5000ps (large plotter) with the most recent firmware/drivers. I didn't have this problem in OS 9 either, only since I started using OS X.

I booted back into 9 (I don't use Crashic) and printed my 13 x 13 custom paper size out of AI 10... just fine.
