Default Custom pattern stamps keep disappearing ?! Please help.

    Ls.,

As a not so advanced user of Ill Cs I keep wrestling with the following problem.

When I try to save a selfmade pattern, in order to use it in future documents, I either drag and drop the selected image to the corresponding palet, or press the "new pattern" button. So far no troubles....

When I close the document I made these patterns in, and re-open a new one, or another document, my new made patterns are gone :-((

In Ill 8.0 I used the same method without problems, so I'm probably doing something wrong. Does anyone have an idea ?

    Thanks in advance!

Default Re: Custom pattern stamps keep disappearing ?! Please help.

You've got to save them. First, delete all unused patterns from the palette leaving just the patterns you want to save. Make sure the wanted pattern is in use. Then click the drop down triangle at the top right corner of the palette>save pattern. The pattern presets folder should open, click save, then you may delete your pattern from the page, save the file as an AI file in the same folder. Should be good to go.

Hope I made no mistakes and that my instructions are clear.
