Customer service and plug-in commendation
Not sure if this is right place to post this, but I wanted to make sure that Shwetag at Slendro Solutions gets recognized for amazing customer service.
I purchased the StyleReporter plug-in for InDesign CS2 from Slendro Solutions late Friday night, and received the plug-in by e-mail that evening.
I installed the plug-in, and after running the ExportStyles report, noted that picas were being reported in decimal increments, instead of xpx, etc., which is what is typically used in writing specs for a book project (for my clients, anyway). I was kind of whiny about it, I'll admit.
I e-mailed Slendro Solutions about this, suggesting that a fix might be good for future versions. A very professional person named Shwetag replied to my e-mail promptly, and we discussed the fact that the plug-in bases its reports on the units specified in InDesign's Preferences. Because "picas decimal" isn't an option offered in Preferences, Shwetag determined that this was a conversion that could be fixed, and sure enough, the new version of StyleReporter that I received first thing this morning (Monday) yields picas expressed as xpx, etc. We communicated about this over the weekend, and Shwetag was kind and professional in all communications.
Of course, I also learned something new about InDesign CS2--you CAN enter decimals into the picas fields, in place of the traditional notation, which means that technically, the information on the report I received was perfectly fine. But it was great that the folks at Slendro Solutions were willing to go the extra mile to give users EXACTLY what they need.

Same experience for me: I asked them a version reporting the styles values in millimeters. Got my new plug-in the day after.

Re: Customer service and plug-in commendation
I agree--that is superb customer service. Companies that show that kind of dedication to customer satisfaction elevate themselves above the competition. Thanks for letting us know about them!
