Cut out a design
Hello all!
I have an Illustrator question for ya. Let's say that I want to use the following business card from a macro series. In other words, the area where the personal information is represents generally where the boundries of the card are and I want to "cut" that card design out of everything else you see there.

I'm obviously going to want to have multiple of the same card on a page, so I need to "cut" that individual card design out of all of that mess of "Macro". How do I do that? I mean, I know that I can add points along the areas where the card ends and then rejoin things togeather, but that's a really lame solution. I also messed around with the scissors and knife tools, but they were equally tedious and slow. I'm sure you have a better idea. I'm all ears!

Could you be any less clear?
What about just making a clipping mask, if you can't be bothered making it properly.

Ok...I am just learning Illustrator...that is why I come here. But, does
every problem have to solved with just this one program. It's
grayscale...load it into Photoshop at 800+ ppi and crop it. Or just put it
into InDesign the way it is and crop it. Maybe Illustrator has a way to do
it...but time is money!
