Database permissions
Can anyone tell me the appropriate permissions to set on a
database file so that the web user can read and write, but
the file does not try to download if you type in the path
to the file.

Re: Database permissions
I assume you're talking about an Access database.
If your site uses anonymous access (default), make sure IUSR has read/write
permissions.
To keep people from downloading your database, do not put the database in
the website. I.e., if your site is rooted in D:\inetpub\wwwroot\, put your
databse in D:\SomeOtherPath.
