Date display dynamically upated upon upload of doent (PDF file)? - Macromedia Dreamweaver

I'm looking for help on how to achieve the following: The problem is that the client wants to be able to have the site turned over to them and handle the following updates themselves. Default Date display dynamically upated upon upload of doent (PDF file)?

I'm looking for help on how to achieve the following:

The problem is that the client wants to be able to have the site turned over
to them and handle the following updates themselves. They have frequent
doent updates to post (they happen to be PDF files). The doent names
stay the same - only the doent *modified date* changes. The web page
would have a table with two columns and maybe six or seven rows; the columns
are Doent and Modified Date and the rows would be the individual doent
names. The client would like to be able to upload new doent files
(overwriting the old file names via FTP and have the Modified date change
*dynamically* to reflect the upload time. Desired output would look like
    this:

    Doent Modified

    Doent.pdf 05/29/2003 08:04:50 AM

Any ideas on how I could achieve this?

I suppose one alternative would be to set them up with Contribute...

What os of server, and what scripting can you use?

the filename and date modified is available from the server, and a
prettyfied page can be built on the fly using php, ASP, CF, or cgi/Perl.

or- you can quickly get an ugly page by just enabling Directory browsing for
    that directory.

{If it's Apache- you could customize the look of the standard directory
filelisting also- but it's as easy/easier to put in a php script that feed
    the filename and date into your page design}
