    Default Date/Time field default values!

I'm creating a CF page that keeps track of dates/time of things. I have all my
Date/Time fields set-up as Date/Time in access and I use CreateODBCdate to
insert them and DateFormat to display them properly (mmmm dd, yyyy) / edit them.

What can I enter as a default value in a date field so that the USER doesnt
need to fill in dates that he is unable to have at this point in time.

because if DATE/TIME fields are left blank as it is.... then an error will be
    generated

What default value can I plug into a date/time field that will return little
or nothing.... indicating the field is empty of an ACTUAL date entered by the
    user.

    Any help would be great
    -thanks!
