Dave's Tip #7 (then vacation)

Before I head "home" to Canada for 2 weeks, here's a couple more tips....

A real quick way (with any tool active) to switch to the type tool and highlight the text on a layer is to double click on the "T" thumbnail in the Layers palette. This will select (highlight) the text and activate the Type tool.

To toggle the Airbush option on and off for the Brush tool without going to the Options Bar, press Alt Shift P (Mac: Option Shift P)

Dave, what part of Canada ? Montreal is on a smog alert right now. So is the south of the province and the same for Ontario. Da heat my friend, da heat is... hot! :)

I'll be in Ottawa & Montreal....
It's been in the 90s in Ontario this week, but at least it drops somewhat during the night. In FL we have the "benefit" of round-the-clock heat and humidity right about now!

Well you wont get too much relief from the heat in those 2 Canadian cities ..but at least it cools down a little at night. Hope you try to get out of the city for a while and enjoy the 'fresh' air. I was born in St. Hyacinthe and raised in Mt St Hilaire. Went to college in Montreal. ...It's one of the best cities to 'play' in...well, it was when i was younger.

Oh and it still is! Today it was the kick off day for the Jazz Festival!
Lots of fun day.. and night!

Temparture is expected to cool off as of tomorrow. Unfortunately, rain is
also expected. Well can't have all the good things together :)

Vancouver is where I'd like to retire. Well, one of the places, that is. Saratoga Spring (upper New York state) as well.

Too cold, too warm. I don't like extremes I guess :) We went from +22C to +35C in 6 days (I think 68F to 88F) - our bodies just don't have the time to adapt.

Do more research before you move from the frying pan into the fire! That's still upstate New York, you know. If you don't like snow and don't like heat, Vancouver is still a better bet. Cloudless blue skies, 80 degrees, gentle breeze, and about 40% humidity here right now. My guess is that Vancouver is about the same. Sounds nice, eh?

Vancouver would be really nice, Beth, of course. However, the cost of
living there is astronomical (compared to my side of the country).
