DB2 7.2 CALL command question - IBM DB2

Hello - I am trying to issue the DB2 CLP "CALL" command from a DB2 UDB V7.2 (Windows NT) command line to invoke a stored procedure on DB2 for OS/390. I have been able to successfully do this in all cases except where I need to pass a space/blank as one or more of the input parmaters. I tried, for example, "call foo(a, ,b,c)" and "call foo(a,' ',b,c)" but it keeps returning a SQL0104N syntax error: SQL0104N An unexpected token "," was found following ",". Expected tokens may include: "<identifier>". SQLSTATE=42601 However, if I try, for example "call foo(a,x,b,c)" it ...

Default DB2 7.2 CALL command question

    Hello -

I am trying to issue the DB2 CLP "CALL" command from a DB2 UDB V7.2
(Windows NT) command line to invoke a stored procedure on DB2 for
OS/390. I have been able to successfully do this in all cases except
where I need to pass a space/blank as one or more of the input
parmaters. I tried, for example, "call foo(a, ,b,c)" and "call
foo(a,' ',b,c)" but it keeps returning a SQL0104N syntax error:

SQL0104N An unexpected token "," was found following ",". Expected
    tokens
    may include: "<identifier>". SQLSTATE=42601

However, if I try, for example "call foo(a,x,b,c)" it works just fine.

Does anyone know to pass a space/blank as an input parm in the DB2
    call command?

    Thanks.

    Perry,

Are using the CLP intercatively? I suspect your shell may eat the single
    quotes.
    try: db2 "call(..., ' ', ...)"

    Cheers
