DB2 V 7 on Z/OS : using TEMPLATE and COPY - IBM DB2

Hi ...I am using DB2 V7 on Z/os . I have a COPY utility using the LISTDEF AND TEMPLATE feature. There is a CHANGELIMIT(1)in the COPY statement. I was expecting the dataset to be allocated by TEMPLATE only when an imagecopy is needed (ie atleast 1 % has changed), but found out even when an imagecopy is not taken, the GDG (dataset) is allocated. How can I avoid doing this, in other words, I want the dataset to be allocated only when an imagecopy is needed ? Below is my statements : LISTDEF LSACCTL INCLUDE TABLESPACES DATABASE ACCTDB TEMPLATE TMPTS1 ...
