Default Bookmark view
AFAICT this simply doesn't work correctly for Mac or Windows versions.
As I understand it any new Bookmark should take on the currently set view of the page being bookmarked. Well, if this is set to 'Actual Size' the Bookmark is created as 'Custom' view. Then, far worse for me, it is impossible to create new Bookmarks set as 'Inherit Zoom', if only because this is NOT a setting you can make to the current view of the window you're trying to bookmark. In any case, it is apparent that Acrobat 6 is quite capable of getting this wrong. If clicking the 'View' icon (so none are selected) is supposed to be effectively 'Inherit zoom' for the current window, then Acrobat is simply cocking it up again as the Bookmark is again created as 'Custom' view.
Having discovered this problem it is then compounded by the fact that it is IMPOSSIBLE to set the view of multiple Bookmarks, at least without re-setting the actual destination page as well.
This is hopeless.
First, if anyone can help with this conundrum then I'd apreciate it. But I have to say I am dismayed that Adobe CS, a pinnacle of software design after probably 20 years development is still so apparently flawed (I hesitate to curse worse than that, but it deserves it). Photoshop can't even rotate a B&W bitmap, oops, sorry, wrong forum.
Anyway, any solutions to the default Bookmark view problem?

Default bookmark view
OS10.5.2
Acrobat Professional 8.1.2
I saw a posting here from several years back (Acrobat 6 era) on this
question and there was no answer. How about now?
Is there a way to change the default settings for new bookmarks to
"inherit zoom"? Alternatively, is there a way to change the zoom
setting for several bookmarks at a time?
Bookmarking in Acrobat is a great tool, but there's room for
improvement!
Thanks...
