Deleting corrupt draft - Macromedia Contribute General Discussion

I am using Contribute CS 3 under OS 10.5 I have a draft page that contains corurpt code which causes it to take forever to open (if at all). The corruption has to do with accented characters (which got fixed some other way) Is there a way to delete this corrupt draft from my Draft console without opening the page? Thanks, Pierre...

I am using Contribute CS 3 under OS 10.5

I have a draft page that contains corurpt code which causes it to take forever
    to open (if at all).
The corruption has to do with accented characters (which got fixed some other
    way)

Is there a way to delete this corrupt draft from my Draft console without
    opening the page?

    Thanks,

You can FTP your server and then delete the Draft from the Server permanently. You can try clearing your preferences and then connecting agian.

    Akhilesh,

Thank you for taking the time to answer.
I am not quite sure what you mean.
I guess that I need to get an FTP program like Transmit or Cyberduck and then
figure out how to use it.

Yes. That will be the simplest way.

I got Cyberducks (great interface!) and I deleted a file that essentially had
the same url as the one that is giving me problems (it had a 001 after the url).

However, Contribute on my MacBook still thinks that I am editing this draft
and it shows up in the Draft console under "Drafts that I'm editing".
On the other hand, that page does not show up in the Draft Console on my other
computer (a G4) also running Contribute CS3 under OS 10.5.

So, I think that this is a local issue on the MacBook.
The problem is that I get the beachball of death as soon as I try to open that
page (for which Contribute tells me that I have an unpublished draft and then
goes into oblivion forever). So I can't just Delete the draft once it is
opened because it never really opens.

Is there a local folder containing this draft or pointers to it? Could I
delete something in there wihout fear of ing up the web site?

    Thanks for your help.

    Pierre

You can find the local folder under Username/library/Application
    Support/Adobe/Contribute CS3/Sites/
    Quit contribute. Then
Please find the Folder (named as Site1, Site2 etc..) which corresponds to your
website and delete the Folder. Try connecting again to the Same Site. This
    should work.

    Akhilesh,

Thanks again for taking the time to educate me (and hopefully some others).
In fact, I was able to delete just the offending draft and its lock from the
Site 2 folder that you identified.
    Everything now works fine.

    Thanks again.
