Deleting Pages and Documents

OK, most of the issues I've had with Contribute have been resolved one way or
another. However, there is still this painful issue that is making it difficult
to manage our sites. My users and I can't delete pages or files. It is odd
that we've been using Contribute for the best part of two years and only having
this problem recently. I've actually figured a work around that works, I have
a suspicion that it may be something to do with check-in-out system in
Dreamweaver, but it doesn't make much sense and I know my users will think I'm
crazy. So let me describe the situation.

I've created a page and a document "delete.htm" and "Delete this
document.doc" for testing purposes. When I navigate to the page "delete.htm" I
follow the instructions in the help documentation File>Actions>Delete Page. I
then get the warning ! dialogue and click "Yes". I then receive a X dialogue
"Access Denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission
problem." I know the file exists and I have permission to delete the whole
site if I choose.

So here is where it gets weird if I click "OK" then on the "Edit Page" button
then the "Publish" button and then do the File>Actions>Delete Page process
again it works. I can verify this in Dreamweaver.

This is what makes me think it has something to do with check-in-out process.
Can you imagine me explaining this to my users? I'm going to have to until we
can work out another workaround.

Contribute 3
WXP SP2 Workstations

Same thing with Word docs etc

If I create a page I can delete it immediately. The issue occurs if I check
the file in from the test server to the live server. Somehow I don;t think
these products were meant to work in a Test->Live production environment.
