you can if you want to, or not, if you want to. they can peacefully coexist. if you do remove it, use add/remove programs from the control panel and say "No" if asked to remove any shared files.

Unless you're really tight for hard drive space, keep Photoshop 6. Between the application, required extensions and parsing modules, you're only talking about 25 MB. You might be surprised that you'll find yourself wishing you'd kept it installed.
