The files must be deleted directly on the server. Contribute cannot do this.

Re: Deleting Word doc using Contribute 3.1
Hi,
Using contribute you can delete any document that can be opened in Contribute
browser. Browse to the uploaded document and use the File --> Actions -->
Delete Page menu to delete the uploaded document

Re: Deleting Word doc using Contribute 3.1
Apparently you can also delete files that Contribute cannot open. I just tried
it with a .dot file and managed to delete using that process. I even removed
the connection key file I had in one of the directories. Contribute reported
that it could not be used to edit or even open the file, but I was still able
to remove it.
You can also select a file from the Choose button near the address bar and
select fils to remove.
