Deployment of a Site Confusing!
I have tried several ways to sync up my Developement and test servers, but it
is not updating my test server. I understand there are three platforms: (1)
Local (2) Remote (3) Test Local is what I am developing under. Remote is my
offsite web host where the site will be deployed for 'production'. Test is a
test server on my local box. What is the best way to manage the development
and deployment process. Currently if I PUT the site, it updates Local and
Test, but NOT the Remote. If someone can please clarify how all these
platforms work together that would be great. (1) Developement on Local IIS.
(2) Put the Site to Test Run test.. (3) Deploy the site to Remote (Production)
Is this the standard way? If so, why wont the PUT update the remote site. I
have had to manually copy the files to the Remote server. Thanks! Picky

Preview the page with F12. The upload to test happens automatically. If
you want to force a file upload for all files to test, then select "Testing
server" in the dropdown list to the right of the Site name drop list, and
PUT your files.
If the Remote server view is selected (as above) then when you PUT the files> (3) Deploy the site to Remote (Production)
will go to the remote site.
