Determining resolution of file sent to me
Is there any way WITHIN ACROBAT to determine the resolution of a .pdf file sent to me? I am using Acrobat 6.02 Professional on a Mac.
Thanks!

Re: Determining resolution of file sent to me
PDFs don't have a resolution. Images within a PDF do.
The best way is though a plugin like Enfocus Pitstop Professional. However, you could use the Touchup Object tool to open up each image individually in Photoshop (that could be tedious!)

Re: Determining resolution of file sent to me
In Acrobat 6.0 Professional, go to Advanced > Preflight... I believe there is a "sample" profile or "list any potential problems" profile. Use one of those to run a preflight of the file. This should tell you the resolution of all images within the file. If it doesn't, run another or, you can create a profile that will. For instance, create a profile to catch any image that isn't a specific resolution. It will list all of the images in the file, but, if you specify a resolution that you know isn't in the file, the preflight report will actually flag all of the images, possibly making it easier for you to find them.

Re: Determining resolution of file sent to me
There is no selection for Preflight under Advanced. Might that be a windows only option? There is a choice called Accesibility, which gives the options of quick check or full check, is that it?
The Touchup tool might be an option, I'm only looking to see if the overall file was made hi res for print or low res.

In 6.0.2 it's actually Document>Preflight.

Re: Determining resolution of file sent to me
Thank you very much, graffiti. It moved to the Advanced menu in Acrobat 7. Sorry for the confusion.
