    Hi Man-wai,

Microsoft does not write device drivers, that is up to the hardware vendor,
the Windows Team only bundles a limited set of drivers with Windows. I am
hoping to see a greater embrace of the 64-bit Windows platform with the
release of Windows Vista. In the mean time, if you are experiencing hardware
issues with Windows Vista x64, now is the best time to alert that hardware
    vendor. :)

Will Micro$oft Vista supports all visible 64-bit devices then?

Definately a few - nobody can be 100% sure of what Microsoft will support,
but normally they have hardware logo guidelines which are available on the
    web.

No, it is up to the Device manufacturer to support their devices and
    software if its non-Microsoft.

MS is going to write 64 bit drivers for my Hauppauge USB TV tuner?
I don't think so. Why would they? It's not from MS. It's not their
product. MS didn't develop it, Hauppauge did. It's up to Hauppauge to
    supply 64 bit compatible drivers.
Where in the world did you ever come up with the ridiculous idea that MS
(or M$ as you prefer) is responsible for providing 64 bit drivers for
    non-MS products.
    Give me a break!

Because M$ bundled drivers with its OS. M$ aren't managing the driver
business, then no driver should be included in their OS and the
customers to choose what driver to install.

Also, why M$ certified drivers if they were none of M$' business?
