DHTML shall i use it or not
Hi, i wanted to create an effect where if you rollover a button, text or an
image would appear on the right. I was told that this could be created by
layers using DHTML. A developer has advised me not to bother doing this effect
as DHTML is no good and is used by inexperienced developers who produce rubbish
websites. I am not a developer and would like some advice as i would really
like this to be done in the site we are building. Please can you tell me any
different...is this too difficult to implement or too dangerous a code that
would bring down the site.
Thank. you. Any input from any professional (developer) would be much
appreciated.

DHTML in a website is not used by "inexperienced developers who produce rubbish websites"!
Tell your developer friend to visit just about any professional website.

Dynamic HTML (DHTML) is a name for a set of technologies that Web developers can use to create Web pages that update themselves on
the fly. In a Web page implemented in DHTML, fonts, positions of elements, graphics might change as you look at it in a browser.
Dynamic HTML makes your Web documents more interactive.

Re: DHTML shall i use it or not
Obviously your friend is not informed and should no longer be a trusted
advisor.
