dial face
I am laying out a dial face for an indicator. How do I layout gradation lines 360 degrees in specific increments? Are there any shortcuts?
I am using Illustrator 10 Windows. I am definately not a professional.
thanks

Re: dial face
marcus:
Draw a short vertical line (like 1/2" tall), copy, paste the copy about 4-5" straight below the original. Group the 2 dashes, go to Effects>Distort&Transform>Transform, enter 1 degree for rotation, enter 179 copies, then click OK, voila! To expand, just hit "Expand Appearance and now you can individually edit.
