Dial-up connection hangs when "registering your computer on the network"
My dial-up connection hangs when it reaches the stage
of "registering your computer on the network". I have
tried deleting and setting up a new connection, slowing
the modem speed, uninstalling and reinstalling my modem.
The connection used to work just fine.

Re: Dial-up connection hangs when "registering your computer on the network"
Hi
Have you tried resetting TCP/IP to it's original settings? You can do this by type the following at a command prompt. It will not interfere with any of your network settings:
netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
You can re-name the .TXT file to anything you want.

2. Yes - the computer I am calling works OK
3. I cannot connect to any ISP - all the dial-up
connections that used to work now do not. Even using MS
own connection wizard does not allow me to connect to the
internet.
4. Yes - I am communicating with them, but they are fairly
slow in responding, so I figured I'd try here to try to
get a solution a.s.a.p.
Thanks,
