Dialog with Menus - Mac Programming

hello I am trying Menu Bar with Menu items and Dialog. (new to all these) The dialog contained those buttons etc. But when i put the two together, only one would be able to work. As in cannot concurrently?? have both?? Only after i close my dialog i am able to access the menus.. Why?? any suggestions... thanks ! -- Best Regards Eleen...

    hello

    I am trying Menu Bar with Menu items
