dictionary won't stay with a single language on spell check...
I would like to edit my dictionary settings. I have to send & receive ID files with other members of our creative department in Europe and when I receive files back and edit them and then run a spell check some text frames use Swedish language setting while others (that I have created) use the english language.
I have already set my preferences to "english language" (in the preferences menu AND edit>spelling>dictionary) but it only works on text frames I have created after receiving the file and editing it.
The spell check flips back and forth from english/swedish depending on which text frame it is checking.
How do I make every text frame spell check in english? I'm lost on this one...
thanks!

Re: dictionary won't stay with a single language on spell check...
The preferences have nothing whatsoever to do with the language used for setting the text. That preference is there so you can change the special characters if you want to.
The language applied to text is a character attribute. You can see it in the Character palette or the Control palette. Best practice say it should be set by paragraph or character style. Whatever you set the language to, the spelling checker will respond appropriately.
