Default digiart.graficalicus.com october challenge: "orange"

hi, everyone - haven't posted much here, but I've been lurking/learning!

Just wanted to announce that the new http://digiart.graficalicus.com image
& file galleries are open & humming along: October's challenge is "orange".

These galleries offer a free way to display your projects to the masses, and
get feedback & publicity for yourself & website - there's over 50 different
galleries, over 180 images, over 40 users and over 4500 image views - and we
just went "live" three weeks ago (I'm so proud...!!) There's even galleries
for Web templates, wallpapers, plugins & freeware -

These galleries are different than many others in that you, the contributor,
control your images, the comments you receive, and any edits you'd like to
make at any time. Upload/download at will, delete your images with a single
click (instead of waiting for a webmaster to delete it for you) - add your
weblinks to any image - free, with no ads, no pop ups, no nothin'!

There's more info in the gallery forum here:
http://www.graficalicus.com/InvisionBoard/index.php

Stop by, have a look - if you like it, join up & upload.

Hope this isn't spam - it's really not intended that way! Just an
announcement for a "community service" kind of image forum -

Most of the first page in the original link is "Missing Image" red x's.
Since the right-click is disabled, I can't even use "Show Picture to force a
refresh of individual pictures.

Cheers,

Yup, reloaded... still the same this morning too.

Actually, as Sam mentions, it is only the first page. If I go to another
page, then back to the first, I get the background and header graphics
appearing (but no other graphics)... if I refresh they disappear and I get
no graphics again.

This is with IE6 on a Win98 PC.

most strange.

You guys are the only ones that have mentioned it. I haven't heard of any
problems at all -

Lemme see if it's the server - - I loaded up this morning, dumped my cache &
cookies, and got what I hoped to see.

....weird.... maybe it's gremlins?

Very strange, I just checked, win xp pro IE6 missing graphics on front
page, moving to an internal page, pics visible.

checked in NS 7 and pics visible on front page.

Tried to check in NS4.7 but when I paste the URL
http://digiart.graficalicus.com/ into the nav bar,
the page tries to load http://digiart.graficalicus.com/style.css and I
get a 404 error... (weird)

Not sure how this helps you though :)

here's an even stranger thing -

when I click the link from this forum, I get what you mentioned - missing
images. When I type the address into the address bar, no problems - images
come right up...same when I open it from my Favorites or from a link on the
main graffi site.

Maybe I'll head over to the DW forum..... 8^)

Maybe its one of those Internet Explorer quirks mode things... you could
try putting your doctype at the very top instead of second line.

I just tried in Firebird btw and it worked fine. Still no joy using IE6 on
PC.

Test link here - the main graffi site - on the same server - seeing if it

If it doesn't, it's all probably macromedia's & microsoft's

Firebird on XP Pro, no problems, even when using link directly from NG
or cutting/pasting.
Also tested with IE6 - no problems.
