    Default Dir MX: Projector bug

    Hi,

My problem is that the behaviours I have just added on some buttons of
my animation work fine in Director but they don't in the projector. These
behaviours are in an external cast but the behaviours that were created
before in this cast still work fine.

There is also a strange thing because there was a behaviour on the
"Quit" button that only had a quit instruction. I changed this behaviour in
order to make this button linking to another animation. It alos works
perfectly in director but in the projector, my button keeps its previous
    action (quit).

I reinstalled Director but without any success.

    Can you help me?

    Thanks,

    Anthony

PS: I found a temporary solution that is to include only the first movie in
the projector but on the final CD I will have to put all dir files in it.

are you sure your projector doesn't require any xtras that you have
    neglected to include?

    Just some simple suggestions:

May be this is a bit too obvious, but are you sure you didn't include an old version of the castlib.

Do other changes in the castlib have any effect? Try to place a testbitmap with a testscript and place it on the screen, just to see if you have all te correct files.

Is there a copy of the script you think you changed somewhere else in another castlib, and you accedentally used that one?

Try completely recreating the script and delete the old one.

Try to recreate your cast in a fresh new castlib.

    Hope this helps...

Actually, when I checked the behaviours attached to the buttons, it linked
to the good version. I already tried to make a new script but I got the same
    result...

The behaviour is attached to an animation.

    Is this a filmloop?

Reason for asking is that filmloops can hold scripts, so maybe a script got caught up in one of your film loops and may be this filmloop is in another castlib, one you didn't change?

Can you describe the project you're working on a bit?
    Trying to guess now...

Have you done a Recompile All Scripts lately? Save and Compact? What
exactly does "linking to another animation" mean in Director terms?

I am really sorry. I left a protected version of this cast in the same
folder and that was the source of my problems abviously. Next time I will
sleep a little bit before posting such questions !!!

It might help, but we all know that deadlines don't allow multimedia
    developers to sleep ;-)
