Default Director 8.5.1 doesn't like the ¬ multi-line script character

    Hello,
For some reason unknown to me, I cannot seem to use any scripts that use the ¬ (option-L on the Mac) symbol to indicate that I want to have my script go over more than one line in the script window so that things are easier to read.

It only reads to the end of the line (including the special character) and reports it as a script error.

I looked in my settings and I didn't see anything that would enable this to work.

I re-installed Director and it still didn't fix the problem.

    What is going on?

I need this fixed as I cannot do anything right now and I don't want to go around and remove all of the option-L characters.

    Stressed out,
    Andrew.

Both the old one (option l) and the new one \ seem to work here in D 851,
but I'm creating the scripts on the mac. Maybe something screws up if the
movie has been on the pc. Just doing an Edit -> Find, replace from the old
to the new char will probably fix it.
