Default Director cd-rom to a site

Which is the tips to convert my cd-rom project to a web-site. My project has
a file .dir and all picture and sound into 5 cst files and two of them with
more than 15mb size. How can I transform this elephant in a mouse to run
fast into internet? And if it is not possible to be perfect, how can I do
    to be playable?

Are there a sample preload bar like that known shockwave preload?

    Thanks,
    Carlos

First pass, publish with shockwave compression, to see how file size
    reduction goes.

Fine tune jpeg compression settings for better compression, bitmaps
using matte ink and sharp detail graphics may require standard
    compression.

    Second pass

Set movie propertis to stream while loading, for faster initial content
access, code is needed perhaps to limit access to menu selections who's
    media is not yet ready.

Consider breaking up into smaller self contained modules, particularly
for those 'optional' sections not always choosen by user.

A good suggestion to next director version is to be a tool to organize cast
members. For example: I think a good way to make my shockwave movie faster,
is strip my movie in parts and create a cast to each movie, but how can I do
this automatically? If I want to erase all cast members that It is not be
using in score? It is not possible without many work. I have to do all
manually. Flash has already had this. I don't know why Director doesn't have
    this yet.

If you want to split your movie, just save it twice under different names
(so you have a backup). Then hilight everything you want to delete from the
    score and hit 'Del'.

You're right that this won't delete redundant members from any of your
casts, but you can use the 'Find members' button on the toolbar (looks like
a pair of binoculars) to find and hilight all members 'Not used in Score'.
Then you can delete them in one go. Don't forget to deselect any members
called on by scripts or behaviours (e.g. rollover members) first...
