Director on other language version of windows..?

    Default Director on other language version of windows..?

    Hi all,

    I was hoping any of you could help me out here....
    I've looked everywhere but its a hard one to find out about.

    Basically im doing a cdrom which will be sent out to different countries but the importance means that i need to know the following to verify that everything is fine.

    (QUESTION)
    A director projector made on an English computer with windows will play fine on a lets say Czech computer running a Czech verion of windows ?

    It needs to work in Mandarin / Czech / Polish / Spanish / French to name but a few....

    the windows core is the same in every languages. only the ui changes.
    in theory you won't have any problem in any country you told us about
    i have already made test on spanish and japanese version(hard to understand for a european :-))
    i didn't find any changes..
    juste put the full version of the standalone shockwave installer on your cdrom.(in case of...)

    the problem you will have is with text since there's still no unicode
    support for director yet. Macromedia's hacky as hell solution is to do
    the text in flash (which does support unicode, though not right to
    left scripting) and import it into director. this method makes dynamic
    text content pretty difficult though.

    Do the other operating systems have standard english fonts like Arial?

    You need Director 8.5.1 to run on Windows xp.
