Director TechNote - Viewing PFD documents
Went to Director TechNote titled "Vidwing PDF documents directly on the stage using Adobe's Active X control"
Unless I overlooked something the technote said nothing about requiring a PDF Xtra to ad and video a PDF document to the timeline in a Director Movie.
Thought I followed the directions. However, the PDF document was not viewable when I played the movie.
Can someone help me?
Thanks

There are two ways to do it. The PDF Xtra is a third-party xtra that works on Mac and PC and provides some added features that the ActiveX control doesn't. The ActiveX control is free and comes with an install of Acrobat, but it only works on Win.
There are some quirks with using ActiveX controls that embed media. Make sure that you don't start it in the first frame of your score or you won't be able to get it to do much.

Re: Director TechNote - Viewing PFD documents
I have used the PDF Xtra by IntegrationNewMedia with great success. It runs
within a projector and shockwave/web.

I have done using ActiveX in the past but prefer INM's Xtra.
