Director/Windoze fonts havoc cont.
HI !
The way Director uses fonts in a real havoc.
I have a new computer (XP Pro Polish edition).
And...
No way to display ANY system font with antialiasing.
Only "blank squares" are visible.
Simply because of the default Polish script on this system version.
Solution... use Buddy, check the registry for appropriate entry
in a "on PrepareMovie" handler, change that to default
and re-enter previous state on exit.
The compatibility gap between Director and modern Windoze
systems is growing light fast. Unless MM does something with
the new (?) release - Director "crapware" status will become
pretty visible. Unfortunately something is telling me the all
the development will be Flash 7 support...
I really wish I be wrong !
