    Default Disappearing links

Using Contribute 3.1, I am trying to link to an email address. I select the
text and 'insert link' as normal, but when I click OK the text becomes
invisible. It's still there as when I preview in browser, the cursor changes to
a hand, but no-one else would know it's there.

I am editing a website that was built by a long-gone someone else.
Have never had this problem before with other websites.
    Would appreciate any ideas.

I think that the 'long-gone someone' used a css-file to present your hyperlinks
in a certain manner. You should check the css file (or let someone do that for
you) and adjust that to your likings or change the Users and Roles (you need
administrator rights to do that) settings in such a manner that you can change
the way hyperlinks and backgrounds look yourselves.

Thanks very much for your ideas - they sound eminently sensible. I'll have to find someone who knows about css files. I realkly appreciate your taking time to post a response.
