Disappearing Tabs Palette
Win 2000, Dual Pentium III, 2 gb Ram.
I've just installed Update (3.0.1) to InDesign CS in response to automatic prompt and now my Tabs Palette will not expand to show any tools. Everything worked fine before.
Is there a fix?
I'm in the middle of a VERY urgent job (as usual!)
Help, please!

Re: Disappearing Tabs Palette
Pardon my ignorance, but what does "trash your prefs" mean and how does one do it?

Re: Disappearing Tabs Palette
Hold down the ctrl+shift+alt keys when launching ID. When asked if you
want to delete the preference files (or something to that regard...I
don't remember the exact prompt) say yes.
This will set the program back to factory defaults.

Re: Disappearing Tabs Palette
My tabs palette has also stop working after doing the 3.0.1 update. I am using a Win XP Dell workstation. Deleting the preference files did not do anything.

Re: Disappearing Tabs Palette
I reinstalled InDesign too (from the original disks) and so far no problems.
It is still showing 3.0.1 - does this mean it is still updated or not?
BTW what are the changes with the Update?
