Default display record like an MS Access form

Hi, learning CF and enjoying it, but looking for the best technique to use.
Using Access for the DB and have a website building on the fly with data from
it. I need to add something like an inventory DB function to the site. My
desire is to make it work and look like a form in Access with one record
displayed at a time and buttons to go forward and backward one record. Seems
like this would be simple and I've thought of several possible ways. Retrieving
records based on criteria is no problem, diplaying data from one record.. no
problem. Building a page showing all records... no problem. I'm just not sure
how to get the look and feel I'm looking for.

What you are probably trying to do is create a master detail pair.
Probably the simplest thing to do is use HTML frame tags with 2 frames
1 for the detail page, and one for the master records.
Use the all record display in the master and add a onclick to the <tr> to
    change the detal frame
    target = "framename" or documents.frames[1].src="url?recordid=''#rowid#" ...

You will need some time of form and processing (submit) to update the detail
    record.

You could also use AJAX, iframes, or a full page refresh.... many possible
    solutions.

Thanks fayg@lc for your input. But I found almost the exact thing I was
looking for in the tutorial. If I had only taken the time to view the Compass
Travel stuff before posting. A tweak here and there and I have what I need.
And I even learned more about the proper use of components and how to make a
dynamic where clause. Darn, when you RTFM it really does make a difference.
    ;-)
