Distiller 5.0 on Macintosh - limitcheck; OffendingCommand: findfont

    Error message:
    Stack:
    /Font
    /Helvetica
    0
    1
    /_BFontUOThick
    false

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

I have already tried re loading the software from the original disk. The distiller used to work, any ideas? Help is appreciated.

    Thank you

Maybe you had the same prob i did. Have you tried this?

"One thing to try: go into the font locations and delete ALL locations.
Ok and re-open; it should have added back the folder you just checked.

    Make sure
    (a) you do not let a font manager loose on the whole disk
    (b) you never move distiller to another disk or folder"

Start the Distiller application, look on the menus (can't remember the
exact location in 5.0, but there aren't too many).

Thank you - I found it. Followed the procedure, and now I get a different error message:

%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: distillsave ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Again, thank you anyone for the help!

thank you everyone - found a reference to problems with Norton AntiVirus. Turned it off and the Distill worked. Guess I have to simply turn AntiVirus off temporarily while creating these files.

    Thank you again all.
