Distiller 6.0?
Is Distiller needed with Acrobat Standard 6? Every time I use Distiller, I get error messages.
Adobe PDF Settings: /Users/Shared/Adobe PDF 6.0/Settings/Standard.joboptions
%%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: –œ ‡°± · ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
I am just opening the file from File->Open. It is a simple Word 2004 document. What am I doing wrong in using Distiller?

Yes, it is the normal way to make a PDF. But you don't generally run
it directly, but as part of printing to PDF.
Distiller doesn't do that. Distiller converts only PostScript to PDF.>Every time I use Distiller, I get error messages.

The usual way to do that is by printing to PDF.
