Distiller 7 crashes upon open--Mysterious adobe OpenType font?
I have CS2 on OS 10.4.8
I recently created a new user account becasue some other programs were going funny in my original Admin user.
The new user has Administrative privileges.
Since the move, my Distiller will not work. It tries to open and all I see on tehe credit screen while booting is it gets to "reading fonts" then it crashes out and Iget the Apple crash report dialog box.
I repaired permissions, even reinstalled, once from the original Admin account, and again from thsis new account, and it still does the same thing.
I am running a clean Suitcase Fusion, as when I started the new account I had to start fresh. I do, however, get an Adobe OpenType symbol at the top of the list, showing a blank font is loaded in the System library. When I choose "reveal in finder" there are only the 5 required system fonts in that folder. It's like it's looking at something invisible, however viewing invisibles does not show anything else there either.
Any ideas? It's really a pain to have to log into another account every time I need to make a press-ready PDF!

Re: Distiller 7 bizarre font stuff
That'll be the fonts in various adobe fonts folder.
In distiller go to settings>font locations to find out where these fonts are on your system.
Also that list shouldn't appear anymore after second an third and so , restarts.
