distiller defaults to screen settings
I am having a problem when i am try to distill a quark 6 layout. For some reason when i go to the print menu select distiller as my printer and then click properties - adobe pdf setting tab - and choose a conversion and choose one of the settings listed and click ok. When i go back to see if my setting took it always goes back to screen. It's also doing this on another computer i have that only has quark 4. I have acrobat 5.0 on windows xp, running with 256mb of ram and a 18.6 gb hard drive with 5.5 gb free. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't seems to help. I have had distiller in this computer for well over and year and it has just started this lastest trick in the last month or so. I had been changing the names of the settings i want to use to screen, but in the past week that trick has stopped working and i am getting a very lo quality pdf.

Re: distiller defaults to screen settings
Any settings made in Printer Setup should last until you close the
current application. Is that not the case?

Re: distiller defaults to screen settings
They should stay until i close it however as soon as i pick a different setting and click ok. it doesn't take for some reason. cause when i go back into the setting it's always back on screen.
