Distiller fails to create .PDF or creates PDF with non-working links
When trying to create a PDF from Word I get the error message Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\WINWORD.EXE abnormal program termination.
As a follow up I selected Acrobat Distiller from the printer menu. Under PDF settings I selected eBook. A PDF file is created but file links do not work. The links in the file are appropriately colored and underlined.

Re: Distiller fails to create .PDF or creates PDF with non-working links
The only way to make a PDF that contains links is to use the PDFMaker macro (the toolbar buttons inside Word).
Well, and to add the links to the PDF manually using the Link tool (but who wants to do that?). :)

Re: Distiller fails to create .PDF or creates PDF with non-working links
Without any more information on what version of Acrobat/Windows/WOrd you have then a solution to your first problem may be hard to come by. I would try replacing the PDFMaker.dot as per the instructions in this Techdoc.
