Distiller reads .ps file but produces no PDF

I've happily been producing PDF files via Distiller and the 'save page as .eps' function in Quark (v6), but despite re-installing Acrobat Standard & updating it to 6.0.2 I now find that after attempting to distill either an .eps file or a .ps file, it now reads it then fails to produce a PDF.

However, it only does this once, the first time after distiller is launched. Any subsequent attempts result in nothing happening - other than the Source & Destination paths being updated to display the relevant file name. The progress bar doesn't function, and it gives a reading of Distill Time: 0 seconds (00:00:00)

I'm currently running Mac OS 10.3.5

Check your "Font Locations" settings. Delete them one at a time, starting with [Hard Drive]/Library/Fonts (if it's listed), until you find the problematic location. This worked for me...
